I recently took a trip down memory lane and, while sorting through old school & art college sketchbooks, re-discovered a love for the fine-liner. I used to spend more hours than I probably should have making patterns, shapes & doodles. I soon realised that there was no brush set that would allow me to return to these roots & do this digitally in Adobe Illustrator.

The Artifex Forge is therefore pleased to present this authentic & versatile tool kit, which includes a huge range of different pen marks – straight & rough outlines, dots & dashes, stippling, hatching, zigzags & more.

Most of the brushes use the pattern brush feature, which tiles a section along the stroke meaning that the brushes don’t over-stretch on long strokes, streamlining the drawing process & saving you time. I’ve also included a few outline art brushes for shorter sections. Finally, there’s a set of seamless, repeat patterns, which I designed to fill large areas quickly.
