Does this sound familiar to you, you find some lovely vector brushes that works quite well on long lines. But if you are working on a detailed illustration or line art like portraits etc. that contains many short or even thick lines all you got is some extremly jacked & cracked rough lines. Thats because the same amount of grunge you see on long lines has to be fitted in less space.
Thats where this brush set (28 brushes in total) is coming into play!
I mostly draw my illustration with ink on paper to obtain that hand drawn touch. The downside here is, after scanning & vectorizing in illustrator its usually very annoying & time consuming to make some changes, since your illustration is now a flat object & not a path. So I made up this set of hand-drawn brushes, by drawing them with ink on paper. After vectorizing them I tweaked the lines & soften the grunge effect until the result works on litarely every size you will ever need for your drawings. Whether short, long, thick or thin lines, due to the 7 different sizes (from XXSmall to XXLarge) you will always gain the same amount of subtle & organic grunge on all of your lines.
All of the graphics above has been drawn totally with this brush sets in just a few minutes, actually even with mouse since I didnt had my wacom with me 😉

Instructions:
Go to Window Brush Libraries Other Library.. & then locate the brush library you want to install.
On your brush library panel go to the top right menu & check “Persistent,” & your brush library should be accessible every time you open Illustrator.
I also recommend to change the view from thumbnail to list, since the brushes are really hard to distinguish on the thumbnails due to the very subtle differences. I tried to make the description as explicit as possible. To do so just click on the right upper edge in your brush panell & choose “List view”.
