Ever used one of those one-armed bandits? You know the gambling machines where you put your money in the slot & pull the big lever on the side.
The idea for this font is based on those old fruit machines.
It has letters on those wheels rather than a red cherry Imagine if that wheel got stuck, you would only see part of the character.
That’s what I’ve done with Get Lucky.
Each character has 3 versions, normal, top & bottom. It gives the impression of that slot machine reel spinning around.
OpenType features
Each upper & lower case letter have three alternatives. Some have much more. Using OpenType you can choose a character you want. You will need software that supports OpenType. Applications like Indesign, Photoshop & illustrator all support OpenType.
